Class Expectations

My class expectations are for my students to become responsible for their own learning. For example if there is an assignment given on a particular day and I tell them it is due the next, it needs to be done. I understand that we are all very busy, but homework (when they have it) needs to be top priority. I do not give homework everyday, and for the most part if my students work hard in the classroom they seldom will have homework and they will succeed greatly!

I am from Hershey, Nebraska where I attended school from first grade to my senior year. After high school I attended Iowa Western in Council Bluffs where I played volleyball for the Reivers. Next I decided to go to the University of Nebraska at Lincoln where I received a Degree in Education.

I taught first grade in Maywood for two years. I also coached volleyball. I then moved over here where I teach 4th-6th grade Science and Literature.

Welcome to Medicine Valley Elementary 4-6 Grade Websites. Medicine Valley is located in Curtis, Nebraska in Southwest Nebraska. We are in the process of creating and updating our website. It has been fun learning how to do this and hopefully the kids and parents use this resource. You can look at my lessons plans, so you know what your child is doing in class. It is extremely important to keep up with your child's education especially since the year is coming to an end. This website is still under construction and I am updating things everyday, so please bare with me. I will be absent April 27-May 1st. I tried to leave you notes during this time.
