English and Spelling
The sixth graders have been working with the "parts of speech". We will apply what they have been learning to writing. We will also be working on general mechanics in writing. All will be applied to the research report they will write in social studies.
The students have a spelling test once a week. They receive the words the Friday before they are tested so that they have plenty of time to study for the test.
